Billy Pod – Elysium

Billy Pod’s UK tour kicks off on Monday September 12, 2022, from Nottingham.
The “signal” for the launch of this important tour is given by the release of the digital single “Elysium” which at the same time is a forerunner of the new “Quintessence” album due for release in November.
The release is also accompanied by a live studio video by Bradley Davis.

Vasileios Podaras (aka Billy Pod) was introduced to us as a member of the The Next Step Quartet/Quintet, one of the most prominent, acclaimed and important acts of the vivid Greek jazz music scene.
He has also recorded over 20 records as a sideman with acclaimed artists such as Tivon Pennicott, JD Walter and Greek folk music legend Dionisis Savvopoulos and has been touring Europe, the USA and Asia for more than a decade.
“Quintessence” will be his sophomore album as a leader, following his successful debut “Drums To Heal Society” (2019, Puzzlemusik).
Billy’s tour starting on September 12 from Nottingham, is his first extensive tour in Great Britain (with 10 fixed dates so far, while more dates will be added) which marks the beginning of a dynamic course for the Greek musician in one of the most progressive music scenes in the world.

The second leg of the tour (starting September 29) includes 6 concerts in 5 different cities: London, Oxford, Devon, Torquay and Poole.
