Southern Alliance was created in the summer of ’18 by two musicians of different backgrounds.The South African pianist and the Greek saxophonist joined forces when realising their common grounds in impressionistic harmonies , 20th century classical music and jazz. They decided to share their passion of a concept art with the world by producing music that combines different genres : interpreting and reharmonising music from the Romantic and Impressionistic era, as well as original compositions.

Menanto Chamberlain and Yiannis Kassetas will be playing at JazZoo, Athens, presenting new music including Erik Satie’s Gnossiennes reharmonised, as well as original copositions. Guests for the concert is the very talented George Kostopoulos on upright bass and Yiannis Papagiannoulis on percussion.
