Two bands from Athens in their creative peak come together for a live performance at Romantso. Playground Theory are recording new material, after their two studio albums and Magenta Flaws have just released their incredible debut album “Corridor”.

Playground Theory’s music is an attempt to make daydreams, secret thoughts, clotted up fears and the feeling of floating in the sea face down… into sound. Their sound has been described as dream-pop, cinematic and psychedelic while their new material also includes Mediterranean elements and eastern modes.

In 2013 they released their debut album, “Speaking of Secrets” via Puzzlemusik label. Their second album, “Connect the Dots”, was released on 28/01/2016. The two digital singles off the album, “Little Things” and “Rain”, had great reception from critics and radio producers. Multiple reviews praise their new album and highlight the quality of their sound and lyrics. It was also included in various lists as one of the top albums of the year. In their new work, their sound has been enriched with eastern modes, trip-hop beats, delays and distortions, as well as with their influences from a variety of musical styles.

Magenta Flaws is a 5 membered band, full of flaws and magenta shades.

Starting off as an ambient experimental group, Magenta Flaws discreetly presented “Landscape” in 2007 and “Liebe” in 2008

A long period of continual experimentation on capabilities and possibilities, led them to alternate tunes, originating their third project and debut album “Corridor”, released in 2016

Their current sound takes turns among elements of trip hop and alternative rock, shaping their unique kind of old – school aesthetic
